RIP Windows 7 my favourite OS. I always loved the aero theme and the aesthetic.

I remember my dad bringing me home Windows 7 Beta to try out back in the day. At that time even just seeing the start up animation was something else.

I've used and loved Windows 7 ever since. RIP Windows 7. You will truely be missed.

This is truly the end of an era. I haven't felt this way since Windows XP support ended. That was truly a sad day

I'm going to have to admit: Win7 was the 1st Windows I legitimately purchased and owned. Every past version between 95 up to and including XP I "borrowed" from where I worked. When Vista came about, mmmm, sure, I "borrowed" that as well, but I found it so damn buggy with huge compatibility issues I had more luck using Windows ME, and that's saying something. So yeah when 7 came out, I took my rear down to my local PC World and bough a copy and I thoroughly enjoyed 7. I stuck with 7 all the way until Win10 got released.

I know tech needs to move on and the cost of maintaining older software gets more expensive, but still it's sad to see Windows 7 now formally enter the "retro OS" club. Goodbye 7, I will always have a place in my heart for you, right next to XP and 98SE.

It just doesn't feel like Windows 7 should die yet..it feels too early. It feels like Windows 7 just came out when I was in elementary school...I am in college now though. It is also the last good OS they released, no telemetry, still runs good on hard drives, stable. It just brings me a lot of memories and makes me sad to see it go so soon...

Windows 7 was discontinued almost 2 years ago and I only found out about it until just now!? I feel old. While I don't feel the same kind of nostalgia for 7 that I do for XP, it still has a place in my heart.

This OS has brought me so many great memories over the past 11 years, it's only recently I upgraded to Windows 10 because of genuine security concerns. So long old friend, you'll always have a place in my heart.

Windows 7 was there for us when no one else was. For me it was always “use Windows 7, or get a Mac”

My mom still uses 7 Ultimate, and she refuses to upgrade.

I knew you'd be making a video like this. May Windows 7 find piece on the great server in the sky.

I, as an IT manager, still use Windows 7 on the majority of my customers. The devices and their software require Windows 7. It is also easily customisable for special use.
Also, Windows 10 sucks without an SSD.

Great videos Michael MJD.

I’m gonna miss Windows 7 especially when it’s the last OS to use the Aero Glass design, doesn’t use telemetry (there was an update Microsoft sneaked this feature in) and doesn’t nag about Microsoft accounts when buying a new pc.

Edit: Windows 8.1 is next.

A lot of Windows 7's success was that there were finally PCs capable able to run Windows 7. This may not have seemed to be the case with Vista. For example a lot of people were convinced that 512 MB of RAM and a 800 MHz processor was enough for Windows Vista.

I have so much nostalgia for this OS. The fact that it actually died is actually pretty sad. :c
