How to Hose Clamp

Makes it look so much easier than it usually is. Most of those clamps you can't get a screw driver on anymore because they're in poor locations.

Best and proper way is when doing the job find nearest trash can and toss them in it
they we used for ONE reason- to speed up on the assembly end...
Remove them Install Smartsteel screw clamps and know it's done right... unless an extra $10 isn't in yours or the customers budget 🤷🏻‍♂️🔧

Omg you son of a gun I’m going to give that a try, I hate those clamps so much that I always grind off the little locking tab, neat little trick when they’re easy to get

Not all have lock on them. I've been wrenching 35 yrs buy the tool

Never unlock, remove and replace, had too many spring clamps fail to hold up on reinstallation.

I always just squeezed it with my slip joint pliers housing dependent drop off

they look so handy, ,, Ive never seen them, or maybe not noticed the lock tab, I dont think VAG have that feature, but it would be handy.

I use a pair of pliers and push my finger tip into the clamp 😂 with a few prayers and a super glue, ur fingers don’t hurt so bad when the lip of the clamp slits ur finger 🫠

U put then in the vice and grind the lock from then so they do that

You know if you use hose pliers and just quickly squeeze them and let go they will come over the lock too. you don't need to do all this extra lol
