I love how they fit in my garbage can so well.

Yes!! I love these clamps. Especially when you try to slide the hose on and it comes unclipped and smacks your finger. It feels so good. I love it 👍🏻

Videos like this makes it a living hell for us car technicians. Clients will see u struggle to put on those clapms at 40+°c day, then they hit u with "get the right tool for it" type shit. Like it isnt tight enuff already

I always toss those and use a screw clamp. If you have a problem with screw clamps coming loose, a tip is to use a paint marker and get a heavy amount of paint in the threads of the screw. Been doing it for years and it keeps them from coming loose on their own.

I didn’t know that. I always replace them with clamps that are actually worth a damn.

Everybody that works on vehicles " F those clamps"

Now, for the actual hard part, getting it unclipped with little to no space for pliers or a pick to trip it like a mouse trap.

People Hate them, but their actually the best clamps to use. Regular screw type hose clamps always seem to leak after a while. I re did the cooling system for my mustang, because there was a leak under my intake "at one of the plastic quick disconnect elbows, not one of the clips." I reused the factory clips. Never had a leak again.

They were designed as time savers on the assy line as opposed to screw driven clamps. They work well as long as they haven't been overheated and lost their spring rate. The reason so many people/mechanics hate them is because they don't know how to use them. 😊

Did you know those tabs break off easier than a tooth pick

At the end of the day the clips aren’t the problem, ITS WHERE THEY PUT THE HOSES!!

And those spring clamps almost always eventually leak, nice and slow, until so much antifreeze is gone that your car overheats, usually about 50 miles from any service. Replace them with screw type hose clamps. Those spring clamps were developed to put engines together faster at the factory. It's not for the owner's benefit, it's for the COMPANY's benefit.

These clamps might be harder to get on and off but they are better at clamping. Over time the rubber shrinks this clamp adjust with it automatically. The others will start to leak until you tighten them again. 🤘

Those clamps are the bane of my existence… opinions vary, but I swap them out with screw clamps every chance I get 😂

And those clamps provide continuous and consistent clamping, adapting to heating and cooling expansion/contraction, unlike screw clamps which eventually work loose.

When you live in Michigan they turn into rust and get replaced with proper hose clamps
