some tips from other comments:
do not use only spruce (keep it atleast one deployer away from other spruce deployers)
use a smart chute and filter it to only the logs you want (only works if you have one type of wood iirc)
rotate the first saw 90 degrees to the first bearing to get the missing spot when it collects trees
the magma cube and fan is patched, instead use a water wheel
add 2 extra saws and deployers to farm dark oak aswell

since it's patched, just replace the magma cube with a water wheel placed horizontally. Then make it rotate with water and place a shaft above it where the fan was. It should connect to the mechanical bearing and start spinning.

when scrolling the chassis from 8 to 1, hold ctrl and you can do them all at the same time

thanks for the tutorial, very helpful. also, if you replace the chute with a smart chute you can prevent it from putting the saplings through the portable storage interface. either set the filter to the logs you expect to get, or craft a filter and exclude the saplings. also for anyone trying this now, the encased fan thing doesn't work anymore, but you can just use a vertical waterwheel instead

Now you do not need linear chassis's behind mechanical saws, you can have any block behind them, because the radial chassis will hold on to everything radially, based on the radius you're setting.

I know this is old but you don't need the linear chassis at all - your central radial chassis can support the whole contraption.

This is a great build, I improved mine by running a red stone line underground from the fan to outside the spinning blades of death. Also, if you put the first blade at 90degrees to the others pointing forwards the bearing. It will cut the trees that grow there and maximise the productivity of the farm.

Good tutorial. Fun fact: If you add 2 more deployers and 2 more saws to the end of this it can also handle Dark Oak. I found out the hard way by not paying attention to which 5 saplings this was using.

The 1st saw will never cut the tree's best thing to do is extend it out 1 more block (so you are going to 6 and not 5) and ignore the first block. this means with the inside 8 blocks not having any tree's you can apply some form of lighting there

They changed the UI with the glue and somehow managed to make it way way worse. I have been messing with this contraption for about 4 hours, checking every single blockface, trying to do it as groups, breaking the entire thing and placing it with the offhand glue method, placing one glue at a time. the UI to show whats going on is complete nonsense, It might as well just be a white noise camera filter when it pops up.

It used to be really simple. It showed the faces that were glued only when you held the glue, now it has this 3d grid thing that only hints at where might be glued and what might be connectable in the 3D space, But it seems like its completely inconsistent on what its showing in either state.

amazing! Disclamer: you cant use magma and a ventilator to make rotational energy (just use a waterwheel), also in my experience i couldnt plant trees next to eachother because it would not remove the entire tree for some reason. Just make a bunch of holes and youre good to go

A linear tree farm is much more ideal if you're planting different species. With a radial farm, you're going to end up with disproportional output because the farther a deployer is away from center, the more trees its planting.

It doesnt re-plant my saplings when in survival with friends but works fine in creative

Great video, it would also help at the beginning if you can put a list of the materials needed for the build, also, can you expand on the tree farm just adding more chassis?, I'm currently playing Skyopolis 4 and this is going to help quite a lot, I suppose I could put a drawer controller instead of a chest and refill the saplings manually from time to time. You got a new sub well done.
