What got me into Create in the first place was the idea of making turning-block gates and doors, so when there was no real explanation on how to make it happen myself, I was disappointed because I knew nothing of how to make anything work in the mod. What I love most about these tutorials is more-so showing what each block in the mod can do in a practical situation, along with their capabilities.

Just so you know with the first design, you don't need the gearboxes! You can have it up a block and then put the lever onto the magma block. It will power it like normal without worrying about it powering something you don't want it to

For anyone finding this, this doesn't work in newer versions of the mod. The encased fan no longer generates rotational force, so this design is outdated

I think the latest update to create patched the magma block option, as it no longer generates rotation force.

One suggestion I would make, though, is to either go through each of the materials (their names + amount, hovering over them, etc.) and/or putting a list on screen so I can pause and gather materials for a single project I might be planning to do. Personally I'd prefer the list on screen so I can see them all at once but either would be sufficient for most people, I'm sure.

but i would love if the desings for the bridge and door could allow you send a restone signal to keep them open instead of closing after a short time, so you could just hook them up to a daylight sensor so it keeps open at day and closes automatically at night

so if this didnt work for you use a water wheel instead of the encased fan or if your in creative use the creative motors because for me and some people the encased fans dont work
