If you receive a large cut like this and don't get stitches, your body will still be able to heal itself surprisingly.
About a year and a half ago I had received a deep glass cut from my knee to the middle of my leg (8-9 inches long). It was ¾ an inch deep, along with several smaller really bad cuts surrounding it. Didn't go to the hospital because I knew I'd be left in debt and didn't want to deal with that (no health insurance and no money). Didn't have anything to seal it, so I stayed holding it closed for the first day so that the scab would form and hopefully seal the wound. By the grace of God, the large cut had scabbed and effectively sealed. It didn't get infected thankfully, but was surprising given the size of the wound. I feel like there was something keeping me good in those times, a gardian angel or something. It took a couple months for everything to heal fully, and taught me that the body can go through some serious shit and still be good. Got PTSD of coffee pots but a scar that looks badass to make up for it👌.

The fact that I got recommended this when I’m in this exact situation is low key terrifying

Seems as if I worded this incorrectly, I have an injury on my knee like that but I'm doing completely okay at the moment. The more terrifying part to me was that this was recommended to me hours after it happened.
