To Overcome Chronic Pain You MUST DO THIS...

Staggeringly, 1.5 billion people in the world currently suffer from chronic pain. That's almost 1 in every 5 people and unfortunately for many, this isn't something that's going away any time soon. We need a better understanding of what chronic pain is.

Yet despite how common it is, we just don't seem to give those struggling with a genuine explanation of what chronic pain is, why it hangs around and how to go about digging yourself out from that hole.

In this video, I explain why chronic pain is often not what it's promoted to be and why regaining control of your nervous system is crucial to any and all long-term success.

If you're dealing with chronic pain, let me know in the comments. I'd love to help!

This is such a simple video but it’s loaded with life changing information. I’ve been suffering chronic pain for 25 years and doctors always treat the symptoms. Nobody has asked me about past trauma. I noticed that other people I know, myself included, have traumatic pasts or current stressors while complaining about muscle and stomach pains. I feel empowered by this video. My body feels threatened and it’s letting me know. I am beginning yoga so that I can relax and diminish the “threat”. I’ve gained control over this video’s information, more than I’ve gained over 25yrs from my doctors. I’ll be sure to update. 🙏🏽

I know you mean well, but have you experienced 24/7 daily constant chronic pain?

Before chronic pain, I was an avid hiker (hiking 8-12+ miles 2-3x a week), yoga teacher and practitioner, and I walked 10k steps daily (unless I hiked that day).

I went through an orthopedic surgery, then fell in the shower 2 weeks after surgery injuring both knees, and then the stairs 2 weeks after that injuring my shoulders, neck, hips, back, elbows, and ankles.

Every joint in my body now has an injury and chronic pain. I am now bedbound/homebound. Walking, sitting, standing, laying down are all painful.

Walking to the kitchen for food is painful and trying to go to the bathroom is painful. I cry everyday because of the constant pain I’m in.

I can no longer clean, cook, do groceries, or laundry. I can’t work because of the injuries and pain.

I can no longer do the things I love and enjoy because of all this.

Yes, I still meditate everyday, practice mantras, do some yoga stretches, recite affirmations, take vitamins, eat an anti-inflammatory diet, etc. but the chronic pain is still there :(

I wish you well and hope you never experience chronic pain.

Started off as a burning tongue 16 months ago when i turned 50 and relocated. Then I got burning, tingling, shocks and every kind of weird feeling all around my mouth. Also came out with dermatitis, weak legs and palpitations and other nasty feelings. Had some intermittent days feeling very weak and unable to exercise...which was very weird as I'm very fit.
Been practicing mindfulness, yoga, box breathing and after my Ironman Triathlon in July'22 am trying to build my fitness up again.
Chronic pain is so scary but am now starting to improve a bit and trying my hardest to believe in myself and my recovery

This video really emphasizes a lot with what goes in with chronic pain. I have had chronic chest and back pain for 2 years plus - been checked for everything and doctor's cannot tell me what is going on and why I am in pain all the time - that's unnerving enough - on the mental side, my divorce at almost 4 years ago definitely played a role in my current state right now - because of my chronic pain I developed anxiety and depression and you are right, any pain sensation I get is a threat that I am going to die or that doctors cannot find what's wrong with me. It's a horrible predicament to be in but I keep getting on with it. Thanks for the video.

Best video I’ve looked up in a while, I mean I’m still in pain but I feel like this video was soothing and informative

Some valid points. Stress can do so many things to our body. Trauma issues can cause pain in the body as well. Having dealt with chronic pain for over 30 years you figure out your limits but it's overwhelming. Pain pills destroy your body but when you have overwhelming chronic pain you may not have much of a choice. Best wishes to everyone dealing with chronic pain!

Those were all fantastic points. I think you really explained things well in a limited time.

I got chronic pain for over 30 years now due to an very severe accident I got two rods running true my intire back supporting my intire spine severe nerve damage ect ..to be honest I heard it all true the years and tried it all ..im from the Netherlands and I there to say our health care is up to standard or above ..to say in a title of a video how to overcome chronic pain is misleading and wrong. . We talk again if your body is totally wracked I bed all my money that you would not make this to overcome

Disabled rights activist and pain patient advocate here. No, fight or flight is not how chronic pain works. One must consider the difference betwen neuropathic and nociceptive pain, and the complications thereof. If the creator doesn't have one of the thousands of diseases, injuries and/or disorders that causes chronic pain, I can guarantee they cannot find a magic modality to "overcome" it. There's no such thing. Some of these options, yoga, meditation, diet can minimally and positively impact chronic pain, but studies show they make a very small impact on chronic pain (and in a very small populations depending on pain origination). Never trust anyone that says they have a "magic remedy" or a way to "overcome" pain. Does this work for spinal bifida occulta, or how about CRPS, maybe a failed spinal fusion, spinal cancer, fracture? Right. Those are all VERY different causations for back pain to name a few. Follow the pain care plan from your doctor, and don't try anything without their consent if you believe it could worsen your condition.

The tissue damage is real. High motor output ramps up muscle tension and causes compensations and joint orientation. Sometimes the tension becomes so high that nerves get compressed. The cause can be any combination of stressors. As a result, the patient should probably be treated both physically and mentally. Especially because boney adaptations can be involved when muscle tension is incredibly high. I would say gentle positional breathing followed by progressive strengthening with an understanding of rotational influences. The goal is shape change. Deep breathing could create concentric superficial muscle activity which we do not want. Be gentle 😊 Lastly stretching will only improve stretch tolerance, not relative motion!

It would be so much better if people WITH pain posted videos rather than pundits who have never experienced it.
