IMHO it's not just an age issue with these two.
People would probably not say anything if Pugh was dating someone around Braff's age like Alexander Skaarsgard.
Zach Braff - while not a bad-looking fella - isn't "Hollywood" good looking in the way someone like Pugh, Skaarsgard, Scarlet Johansson, Chris Evans, etc. are. Probably some lookism going on, a bit.

I agree with her. Love comes in every shape and colors. My husband and I are 19 years apart, and I remember in the early times of the relationship it was tough, because I didn't know how to handle the negativity. I would care if she was underage but she isn’t. At 25 years old, her brain is fully developed so there’s nothing to worry about on that front. They started dating when she was 23 so it was almost completely developed when they began dating. While dating someone 20 years older isn’t something I’d see for myself, I’m not her. She’s allowed to make her own choices and if this is what she wants and it isn’t hurting anybody, then why bother her?

I understand that the Hollywood tendency for younger woman (often times, too young as in teenage girls) to be sexualized by older men is a problem that needs to stop being normalized so I get people coming here from that point of view but I honestly think these are two separate things due to the reasons set out on top.

I completely agree with her. I'm 33 and my bf/partner is 21 years older. He understands me better and is more patient with me than anyone closer to my age I've dated in the past.
