I am studying The Practical Music Theory Course and would highly recommend it to anyone regardless of your current guitar ability. Excellent and enjoyable course!

That is so funny. I've been fooling around with exactly these chords for the past couple of days and trying to fit in other chords. Now I realize why none of those really fit. Thanks!

I feel as if I am so close to grasping this! I can play the C major scale in my sleep. My gap in understanding is when you play it over the other chords like A minor or D minor. The pattern visually looks different to me. For instance, if I try and incorporate the C major scale with the Dminor chord I just run out of room on the fret board. I apologize if this question doesn’t make any sense. Perhaps I need to sign up for a couple in person lessons to grunt through this.

So I imagine this means an F powerchord is in the key of C? Since it's notes are F, C, and F? Would this also mean a G powerchord ISN'T in the key of C, since the 5th and the octave are outide of the scale we learned?

Is the c major scale just another term for c major pentatonic scale?
