First, you’ll learn about what chords are. What happens when you play more than one note at the same time? How about three notes at the same time?

Next, you’ll learn about the types of chords that are available to you that contain three notes. Knowing these types of chords will help you construct chord progressions. They can also allow you to be more expressive when writing music.

After looking at the type of chords that exist, you’ll analyze them even more and see how they're constructed. Breaking this down will allow you to apply this information in many musical keys.

After analyzing the construction of chords, you'll start to play them. You can practice by playing common chord progressions in different keys.

Harmony - when two notes are played together.

- The most common chords are triads
Which contains three notes from the major scale -
Root - 1st note, 3rd note and the 5th note.

In music there are 4 types of triads.
In this video major and minor chords are discussed.

Major - sound brighter and happier
Minor - sound darker and serious
