It would be amazing to have auditory examples of the notes and or chords that you are explaining.

I wanted to thank you so very much for all your wonderful videos on chord progressions and movements. The whole series is fantastic as are you other videos. I love how you bring reason to how things sound, and also reaaally appreciate that you used the number system making things general. This month I love Bm & B, but maybe next i'll try something else, and it's so very awessomee that your principles are general and timeless, so very much appreciating that! So, from the bottom of a grateful heart I want to not just thank you but to wish you a wonderful Christmas, and a fantastic New Year, and all in all amazing holidays for you and your family! You're wonderful and your generosity and knowledge is awe inspiring.

Actually, statistically, in most popular song the chord that we find before the tonic chord is the 4th chord even more often than the 5.

The 5th to Ist chord move must be used but at the right moment and not too often/early.

I watched this and didn't understand 90% of it, so clearly I need to backtrack to something a bit more foundational-- anyone out there have advice or a resource you would point someone like me towards? (I.e. a person who is only beginning to understand the structure and build of notes on a keyboard.)

I understand that mastering chord progressions makes improvisational music much easier, but where should I start? Feels overwhelming.

Do these same rules apply with the natural minor scale?

To people asking for audio examples. You can play them yourself. You will hear or feel the tention resolving. Example: Play 145 chord progression that's D G A D in the key of D or just play the notes.

y is the 5th note still in the chord instead of getting resolved...?? what happened to the poor 2nd note in case diminished 7th chord ??

Maybe this is how i understand
1 2 3 4 5 6 7
1=A
2=B
3=C AND SO ON,
or do i understand it wrong ?

It's more an eloquence than any music . What do u want to say by making such movements ? 5 to 1, sus. to 3 what are these movements ? Cannot 3 or 6 move to 1 ? Any restriction ? Chords are assigned as per notes used in a phrase . Any combination is possible in a composition . U are restricting the composer in a very limited zone . Plz explain . .

You should show a actual chord progression

Thanos clearly didn’t watch this video. The I chord didn’t defeat the V chord... yet anyway

This does not help me. Yes I get it. But what now? You are not teaching me how to get better playing piano.
