GPU Prices SLASHED
Nvidia and AMD GPUs are getting price drops as sales continue to plummet. Not only have older RTX 30 GPUs dropped in price, but even new RTX 40 GPUs and AMD Radeon RX 7000 GPUs are seeing price cuts in an effort to increase sales. At the current rate it won’t be long until all GPUs are at a very good price.

Do you think these lower prices are a good deal? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below.

Let them rot in the store or at Nvidia's storage.
No improvements in performance but crazy improvements in price hike.
Well done Nvidia.

This is all just an attempt to trick gamers into bailing out Nvidia and partners from their crypto hangover. Don't buy 3000 series cards. These guys sent pallets straight to miners and now want gamers to buy their excess stock. Let them suffer.

LOL. Your comments about this generation at the end is spot on

2060 user. I think nvidia doesnt want to put more vram in consumer level cards so people dont start using them in a professional manner. They cant upcharge as much for their professional level cards if they do. Amd putting 20gb of memory on a card doesn't matter because no one can use AMD for heavy rendering or professional workloads. Im gonna just stick with 2060 until this market crashes.

Nvidia profit margin 67%
AMD profit margin 55%
its right there in their quarterly earnings report... Those are price gouging margins dudes. 35% is a nice healthy margin... 67% and even 55% is blatant price gouging. These companies could HALF their margins and still be very profitable, yes I am aware that halfing Nvidia's margin would not half the final sale price, their are margins on top of margins, shippers and retailers all have to make their margins... let's say that we would only see half the half, that would mean Nvidia could MSRP the 4060 Ti at $300 USD and still be making probably 35-40% 35-40% is a good margin, and it would give retailers breathing room to discount the GPU's and still make a profit. This is what duopoly/collusion price gouging looks like my dudes... These fucking companies want to be seen as philanthropic and benevolent for selling at a discount... Little dose of truth here dudes. THEY'RE STILL RAKING IN MONEY AT SALE PRICES

Nvidia charges the retailers, from their prospective it doesn't matter what the retailers charge you, its Best Buy or (insert the name of your retailer) who is taking the hit lowering prices, Nvidia already made their money when they sold it to said retailer. I've said it so many times, and I'll say it again: If you want prices to go back down to something approaching reasonable, you can't but these products at these extortionate prices, every time you do, you are telling these fucking companies that you're ok with their price gouging and they will just keep doing it. Buy the 30 series, or 6000 series, BUY INTEL ARC (which are much more reasonably priced) buy used... or FFS keep what you got now and lower quality settings for the next 6 months and make due... lets force these mother fuckers to lower prices. GPU sales fell off a cliff this quarter, and yes Nvidia/AMD didn't care... eventually the AI bubble is going to burst just like the Crypto bubble did and when it does they are going to have no choice but to come crawling back to us, THE CONSUMERS WHO MADE THESE COMPANIES WHAT THEY ARE, and when that happens, we can make them pay dearly for this price gouging shit if collectively we refuse to buy until margins are lowered to reasonable levels... 67% profit margin is BLATANT AND UNDENIABLE PRICE GOUGING and if you buy anything from these companies you're the one causing it.

NVidia & AMD need to learn what gamers expect from the 3 tiers & price accordingly. GPU categories: 1. High-End = Smooth performance at 4K ultra settings, (without needing false frame generation/emulations) in ALL current games.
2. Mid-Range = Smooth performance at 1440p ultra settings (without needing false frame generation/emulations) in ALL current games.
3. Low-end = Anything which can't at least deliver playable 1080p ultra in ALL current games (without needing false frame generation/emulations.)

Technology moves forward; what WAS cutting edge 10 years ago is now outdated rubbish, so as new games come out, if a GPU can't meet the requirements for it for its current category then it moves DOWN a category - even current high-end GPUs will become low-end over time.

By this clear and logical definition any current GPU with 8GB VRAM or less is automatically low end. The artificially high prices, and model numbers, don't change that, and AI emulation/frame generation is not a true substitute for raw performance, so GPU prices should reflect this.

You could potentially have a better graphical gaming experience using a current games console than playing on a low end GPU, so why would anyone pay as much JUST for a GPU as an entire games console portable gaming system for a worse experience?

$200 is probably the sustainable rock-bottom retail price for 8GB GPUs. I can imagine 12GB GPUs making their way down to $250 eventually and $300 for 16GB.

Stop the cap dude the RTX 4090 is almost 2k dollars 💀

3060ti is well worth considering even though it has 8GB VRAM, But it has a great 256-bit bus. Puts the new mid-range 192-bit (or less) cards to shame. A great card for video editing as well as gaming.

I can confirm that the 4060TI was discounted by 15€ on launch day, Ive seen it live. Of course, it still was some absurd price so it barely helped out as Mindfactory (the retailer who offered the discount) still only lists the card as "more than 5 sold"

EVGA has a refurbished RTX 3060 12 GB for $250 (B-stock) There is a rtx 3050 for 169

the 4060 ti should have had the performance of a 4070 ti, not a 3060 ti. Disgusting.

This GPU generation has been a massive miss for NVIDIA, the only interesting GPU that is actually worth getting is surprisingly Intels Arc series.

Why put a 4080 in your thumbnail when all you do is talk about 30 series price cuts? Clickbait much bro?

With Nvidia putting their resources into AI cards and other high-end cards, it makes you wonder if they care about cutting prices to get sales, if they keep the price high and they are the leading player in the market, then they will not care as in the end if people want an Nvidia card and you have to pay a crazy price to get one, they will just outwait gamers.

Here in Romania, we've barely felt any price cuts whenever they happened in USA. At the Gigabyte official store, the RTX 4080 Gaming OC costs $1220. Here, it costs $1650. (which here can be equivalent to half a year's rent)

actually the $269 dollar MSRP 7600 is out selling the RTX 4060 Ti.

I'd like to pick up a Arc A770 16gb if the prices go down a little on those. Currently use a 3070 so i am just very slightly starting to see vram issues.
My local Best Buy has a Rx 6700 non xt 10gb 'on sale' for $279.99. It's almost tempting.
