the 95% arc resistance is more necessary because lightning will kill you instantly without it. even with it, it still kills you in a few ticks. with no resistance, you are still able to survive a 3-4 fire ticks before it kills you. with this 75% fire resist armor, you'd probably be able to be on fire for like 5-10 seconds and that seems like plenty of time to avoid actually dying to your own fire. at 95%, you'd basically be immune.
light MG and flamethrower primary sounds like it will be awesome together and the mech skin looks sweet! would've been hilarious if they put the freeze grenade in this warbond since they put the fire grenade in polar patriots.

Considering fire damage takes place over time, I think a 75% reduction is enough

The Cookout shotgun might be really good against the bots if it has the Punisher's stagger damage

I think the 75% resistance is because of hulk Scorchers. No enemies deal arc damage so you can be resistant to it with very little gameplay impact, but there are some enemies and environmental features that deal fire damage

i think the point of the new flamethrowers is to let players choose that over the support flamethrower for more strategem options, at a cost of effectiveness or damage of the support flamethrower

Don't get it twisted. That shotgun is a punisher. Plays completely different than the incendiary breaker. The orange breaker fires birdshot. The punisher shoots buckshot. Smaller spread, less projectiles, way more damage, & It has a lot stagger. Anyone that has used the orange breaker on helldive bugs knows how great some stagger would be.

Something the community seems to be unaware of - if you're set on fire dive. It puts you out instantly :) I'm a little surprised people have forgotten 'stop drop and roll' that's been drilled into my brain since I was about 5

Its pretty simple. Arc is 95% because lightning can 1 shot kll you.
You can stop fire damage by diving on the ground.

The flame resist + energy shield may make it easier to "push forward" with the flamethrower and tank the fire damage, into heavy bug positions without needing to retreat from your own flames.

When a new Warbond comes out they have always added 2 new sets of armor in the super store. They’ll more than likely also have the new passive like the ones we got with Viper Commandos.

Better if the armors also had "Water Cooling", removing or reducing stamina drain on hot planets. Be nice if it included a 3rd slot weapon, like the knife. But this could be a Mandalorian wrist flame thrower.

The new Booster + EAT and Commando spam could be fun.
The support weapons drop in hellpods, so that gives you one fire explosion every 60 and 90 seconds in addition to the actual support weapons in the hellpods

You're absolutely right Cookie - adding new skins that are just recolours as you described would probably be the quickest cosmetics they could possibly release for this game. As in like, an intern artist could paint the textures and one or two engineers should be able to implement that pretty quickly. Unless the backend of their engine implementation is unnecessarily complicated, it's about as simple as it gets.

I picked the game up again today and it really is still enjoyable. I had to play it on easy so I could go it alone and just have one mission as I dont have the time and like taking my time. Its tense by yourself. But the mostly tense cause you not sure if it will crash before you extract. thankfully it blue screened once I was back on the ship :P

I really hope the primary flamethrower is good, it'll be really nice to be able to carry one without sacrificing an anti armor strategem. I'm curious about the punisher, since we already have the incendiary breaker it'll have to be a lot more powerful or it'll just be a bad incendiary shotgun. The fire armor will be huge either way

The punisher has stagger, so I assume the cookout is also going to have stagger.

That would probably be the key difference between the two

Why are we acting like the weapons will kill you instantly after using them when we already have a flamethrower. Just don t walk in the fire and be carful where you shoot while diving. It s not magic
