I still love Helldivers 2, it's the only game I can't get to angry about when something goes wrong.

The game is not dead. It is very highly ranked in most played on both Steam and PSN. It is just a combination of bad timing with the slowed work schedules of Sweden (I think it's Sweden take that part with a grain of salt) and it being coded in a way that makes it hard to fix bugs. The game is not dead, but it is not doing well. The situation is not nearly as bad as it seems. Just be fucking patient people, Rome wasn't built in a day, neither was Helldivers
Edit: I didn't expect this to gain some traction that fast but I would also like to state this: The game being really hard to keep playing is an issue. It probably will always be. There is no story, no side missions, well actually there is kind of a story, but not like a traditional campaign. The game will always have this issue, they can only minimize it so much by providing a large amount of playstyles for players. Lots of reading I know, I ramble a lot

Wanted to share a real life Helldiver story:
Took the family on vacation this past weekend to Austin Tx.
On the way my battery started acting weird on me and I needed to get jumped at a certain point. Found the nearest Advanced Autoparts store and pulled in.
Guy at the counter said “like your shirt” I looked down and realized I had my Orbital Precision Strike t-shirt on which read “how’d you like the taste of freedom”
I saluted my fellow helldiver and told him my situation, he had my battery in stock and even installed it for me since I was out of town and did not pack my tool bag.
I had to share cause it was the highlight of my vacation lol

Its Summer break the game is definitely going to need a major promotion push when the illuminute come back...

Im level 113 I love it and still play few nights a week.
I'm sure the amount of people that are on at a certain time doesn't reflect how many people often come back every week to get a couple of matches in

For annybody here saying, that Arrowhead choosen a bad time for their summer break. Keep in mind, that it's very common in most european countrys to have 30 paid vacation days each year compared to like 5 days in the us.

Stopped playing the game around April when I ran out of content to max, just picked it back up now that there's a lot of new things to try and unlock! I think a lot of people put the game down for a while (outside of the Sony thing) because they've ran out of content to grind for, and they'll probably pick the game back up when there's more things to grind for.

The helldiver 2 devs deserve a vacation just like anyone else they are human beings too and no the game is not dead it, s just not as active as it used to be when new things get aded it will rise again. To the helldivers 2 devs plz enjoy you vacation and know that you are loved and respected by us❤❤!

Its so evident that so many of these people didn't play the first game. We played with around 2900 players peek hours after the first two months. It will be fine once we get back down to just the core playerbase.

I think some phrases in the gamimg community are over used, and "dead game" is one of them. For some reason people have put Helldivers 2 on a pedestal as if its been out for years and its only been 7 months (i think) 🙄💛

The month and a half off was definitely a huge blow the nerfs and just having everything, they unfortunately have to keep churning stuff up to get us excited

They needed to fix the social bugs before they went on break, I cant play the game unless I go solo right now. When that gets fixed I'll come back for sure.
