so... unexpected seeing LiS on shorts... my heart stopped for a second when I heard Max's voice, and now it just melts... biggest puzzle piece of my life? 2015-2016... Life Is Strange forever. "I can't believe those days are all over now"... How lucky I am growing up with this...

I’m going to take the time to do an LIS and Max Caulfield appreciation post.

Thank you Square Enix, DONTNOD, DECKNINE and the rest of the cast, crew and staff who made these games.

About 6-7 years ago I began my journey with this franchise, and it has forever been a cornerstone and a vital part of my journey in my own strange life.

Finishing that first game… changed something in me. Or better yet… Awoke something in me. I’m still figuring all this out to be honest but honestly I’m glad I played that game.

4 years ago I moved out of my toxic home in California. 3 years ago I arrived in the east coast.

I’ve always resonated with Max Caulfield.
A magnificent character who’s just trying to make her own way in this world and who finds herself to be(to paraphrase a quote from the LIS comics) “a particle of dust caught in the beat of a butterfly’s wings”. She was thrust into incredible circumstances with an unimaginable burden. Through insurmountable odds, some of which could have KILLED most, she used her gifts and her wit to rise and overcome.

And she’s just barely entering adulthood.

Still, she perseveres.

As does every protagonist in this series.

They have to.

And so do we.

No matter what the adversity, obstacle or trauma, we must rise to the challenge and overcome it. Because only each of us individually, can.

Guess I got rambling here. Apologies.

This is a very special franchise to me that is very near and dear to my heart.

This character especially.

I have more in common with her, than I would like to admit.

Hannah’s performance as this character was nothing short of spectacular and Oscar worthy.

So thanks again Max Caulfield.

For creating such memorable stories and characters that will last for generations, help them grow and learn…
