My notes app is PACKED and I love getting to cross off a bit of art that's been on there for a while. My most consistent spots for inspiration are late at night lying in bed, in the shower, or on a walk around the neighborhood. All moments where distractions aren't present and ideas can take shape freely. Great video, Hardy!

Every brushstroke is a revelation.
If I wasn't 48 years old, I would probably switch to 2d, I find it a freer, more powerful form of communication.
There is nothing like the control of being able to draw light, and communicate with light what you want.
Doing it with your hands without adding a "spot" and automatic lighting.
Having art in your hand, that's a huge power.
Only now do I realize that we are only "image assemblers" compared to those who create by drawing.
Your videos are really good, and to hear you talk like a professional while working is very nice.
Then you always use soothing music, and that's not bad.
Great job as usual, it seems to me that you always have a basis of "fantasy" and sci-fi in your work. Great drawing really good!

I don’t know how many times I screamed “YESSS!!” at my phone listening to this vid. This was very much needed for me. I am loaded with ideas and some I cannot manage it or put it together and have a blue print and then finish it. I think if I can have a blue print on how to finish such as looking at the right references and write everything on paper it would help. Me if for example I’m drawing a boxer I will watch a video or movie of a boxer in the background for inspiration. Thank you so much again. I have most of your courses from Udemy. I am realizing have to take action to find inspiration instead of waiting for it to come to me.

The action sometimes just going back to a kid where I doodle crappy drawings until it suddenly hits something. Sometimes that action is looking at art books, or reading a comic I read 1000 times already because it brings me back to that feeling like a kid. Sometimes just opening pinterest or music like you say.

Hey dude, love the videos and the teaching! Was just really curious on defining the process if you explain a bit more in detail, Its always too fast for me. I get up to the point of expanding the line work by 5px or whatever- for no white spaces, then the silhouette fill with our darker lines of our sketch. Then the orange toning goes down.. BUT After that it gets confusing. New layer copy? Change the hue. Not sure how you get those two tones, reddish and orange on one layer. Its too fast for me. Was wondering if you explained in detail a bit more somewhere or could help. Thank you so much!!! Your amazing at what you do and have inspired me to start drawing again.

I love watching the process of the value edges, but I still have a hard time wrapping my head around it to even try practicing. Like what practice, or thing could I do to just practice the hard/soft/lost edges to make it look as realistic(or more aptly believable) and 3d as possible. Just draw random shapes with lines and work it out?
