Greg Valentine was from the class of workers that did not try to convince the audience that wrestling was real. But he convinced us that HE was real. I love how complimentary and respectful he is toward most all of his opponents and teammates.

i use to ask my dad who his favorite wrestler was (RIP Pops) cus he had mags from the late 60s+ and even had VHS with "best of matches (some even of andre in the early 70s and such)"

That said, he always said Pedro (cus hed have been like... 19-20ish range in his title reign) or Sammartino. I obviously was born much later but love hearing about names from that time. Helps me get my Pops more haha.

I had the pleasure of meeting him backstage in the old Capital Center in Landover Maryland and I told him that I was trained by Killer Kowalski and I knew that Wrestling was a work, but his matches always looked real to me. He shook my hand and told me thank you for saying that. Greg has always been a real gentleman and a true professional. One of my favorites of them all. Good to see him still going strong in his 70s. Thanks for the memories Greg The Hammer Valentine.

At 9:50 Greg mentioned how great it was working with Ricky Steamboat. Is there anybody who didn't like working with Steamboat? I have heard interviews with many of the wrestling greats (Flair, Jake Roberts, Macho Man's brother Lanny) and they all said their best matches were with him. What a pro he was.

Pedro always buying groceries at the Bodega in Amboy Ave. My brother and cousin recognized him all the time. I probably saw him many times but I didn't care. RIP. He died in Perth Amboy as well, wanting to move back to P.R. but never happened.

Dude The hammer is the nicest dude ever I don’t think I’ve heard him say a bad word about anyone. I was always under the impression that he was just a Debbie downer but he’s just a quiet super nice dude
