Every Greg Valentine video, he's just the most authentic, relatable down to earth guy! Just fantastic.

I love this man. I met him backstage before Vince told the whole world that wrestling was a work. I told Greg that I knew wrestling was a work but he always made me believe his matches were real. He thanked me and gave me a big hug backstage at the Capital Centre in Landover Maryland. I will never forget that day.

They just dont make them like they use to.. and his father was absolutely the same way... love hearing these interviews... you rarely hear Geeg say a bad word about an opponent. Much respect to him...

Wrestling matches might have been pre determined, but the Hammer is as tough as they come anywhere. He's not a whiner on who was too stiff, it was all in a days match with the Hammer! Salute Sir Valentine.

I'm in my 50s and grew up watching Wrestling at the Chase long before cable TV came around. Brethren and "Sistren" it was such a treat when Greg THE Hammer Valentine would show up to Sam Munhnick's territory. I always dug the villains back then (there were exceptions), but I miss this era. This is a genuine, hard working, kind man. I've met countless pro wrestlers through the years but never have met him. I hope to some day

Hes got that aurora of making you want to sit down & just throw out names / topics and listen. But when he started reminiscing about the battles with Wahoo, he definitely had huge smile inside and loved that. Awesome Video clip !!!

It was 1977 Mid Atlantic Wrestling Bob Caudle and David Crockett calling the match. WRAL channel 5 TV studio Raleigh NC taped on a Tuesday night aired on TV Saturday night.Valentine used a special leg hold to break Wahoo's leg. Man it was on then. When Wahoo came back those two sold out Greensboro Colisum 16, 000 fans, Greensboro NC for Wahoo's revenge match. It was a Indian strap match. I was there and it was blooded . That match was the talk of the wrestling world. And yes Valentine wore a black tee shirt for months saying I broke Wahoos leg. Mid Atlantic days were the best.

Wow, these guys are so down to earth just listening to them talk about each other is Great. And most of them have nothing but good things to say about each other.

this type of access to wrestlers is what made me have a different respect for them that i never had when they wrestled. It lets you see who they really are, and i love it. Greg was never a guy i appreciated enough back then....but i sure do now!!!

Thank you for stating something about this guy, my father who passed away when I was 24 always told me this was his favorite wrestler but wouldn’t ever tell me much about him except the way that he looked and how his entrance was other than that not much known about and you have a legit respect about you and always tell it like it is. I think that’s why so many people enjoy you telling about the people you wrestled with.

Wahoo was known for being stiff, but he expected people to hit him back hard.

“Wahoo beat me tough”

I’d buy that shirt.
