Not true.
My campaign is being shown to 99% men and my clientely are ONLY women. Although I’ve selected Women, Facebook kept showing my ads for months to men! Super frustrating. Over $1400 in ads in trash. Retargetring men was terrible.

Also it’ s not true that my creative suck as you said. I prepared over 20 different types of ads and copy ( some that are very succeful for other professionals on my field) still my ads were being shown to the wrong audience. Super bizarre. I have this Advantage+
