Imane Khelif, was born in Algeria May 2, 1999 a biological woman. She has never gone through a sex change operation which is illegal in her country. She an Algerian professional boxer. She represented Algeria at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo and the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. Her boxing record is 42 wins 9 losses. All against other women.
Following Khelif's victory over Italy's Angela Carini during the 2024 Olympic Games, rumours surfaced on social media about her gender.
