I’m fully convinced George RR Martin doesn’t want to deal with the backlash of how the books will end after seeing the reaction to the tv series ending and so he has releasing the last book written in his will to release posthumously

I absolutely love the Book Goblin persona. She reminds me much of my younger self, before my eyes started to get bad and I absolutely HAD to read into the wee hours of the night. Now as a half blind old man if it isn't an audio book it isn't something I even try to read, fortunately I've found many books well done on audio over the years.

My guess is that GRRM wanted to end the series like the show ended and he just absolutely dreads having to rewrite it now that everyone hates his ending.

That or he just can't think of a way to end it
