When you bring power consumption in to the picture - and I'm really glad you did.
It's genuinely startling just how efficient Laptops have become in recent years.
When you consider it was using 70% less more power, but still achieving performance in the 70% range.

This is impressive especially from the laptop. When you factor in probability and power consumption. There is also no denying that the desktop pushing is roughly 50 -60% more frames at every resolution with double to power consumption, imagine DLSS on the desktop. It definity would be able to push 4k 60fps ultra settings steady.

I knew the GPU would be no comparison but it's unreal how fast the laptop CPUs have gotten. I personally always go for whichever brand has the highest single core performance for my use case and the 12 gen stuff both laptop and desktop is crazy good for me. I hope AMD works on this in the future because competition is always better for us.

Thank you so much for your content. Your videos gave me enough information to decide to actually buy a gaming laptop this generation instead of building a PC which I have been doing for the last two decades. You have by the far the best format for videos and have set a very high standard for how tech reviews should be done which I haven't seen matched so far. I bought a Legion 7 Slim 5800H/3060 at a very bargain price a few weeks back I'm extremely happy with my purchase.

A good idea for a video would be to compare a decent RTX 3070 laptop around the $1300 range to the top of range MSI you have there just to see what the extra money spent gives you performance per dollar.

I'm personally still floored at the laptops performance. Yes the desktop runs circles around it for the same price. But, honestly that's not really an argument. If you're buying a gaming laptop you now you're giving up performance for portability. But on the other hand I rarely play games past HIGH on a laptop. And I can say on my laptops 16" screen on high compared to my desktop 32" maxed out that the laptop looks similar if not better since the pixel density is higher. And this is with both of them running at 1440p. Plus if you keep in mind if your someone coming from the 2000 series gpu's and an older cpu then something like the MSI GT77 is going to be as fast if not faster. That in of itself is amazing considering it can easily be put into a back pack and carried around.
