I just want the M16 screen on the G15 - give me that AMD cost savings, efficiency and lower fan noise, but I do want that 16:10 screen.

It kinda feels like they cycle between refreshing the g14 and g15. Last year the g15 saw big improvements, this year the g14 got all the love. It just feels weirder since they already make the m16 which is literally just a better g15 chassis with an intel processor (better/worse depending on workload). Given the similar chassis, I’d have loved to see the 16:10 display at least as an upgrade.

The cynic in me says they knew these new AMD processors and nvidia ti graphics cards are good enough to sell with the old design, so are just saving it for an easy upgrade next year

What a shame, that is my biggest deal-breaker of the G15 right there. 500 Nits SDR brightness should be the bare minimum at this price with the upgrade option to HDR (OLED/miniLED).

And here I sit with a Dell XPS 9700.. and think to myself.. I've modded it, I've repasted it.. undervolted it. And it's still only pushing out 10500pts in Cinebench R23 at 75W. That's 16% better than stock. But literally A year later - We get chips that perform like 60% better easily. I'm lost for words.

After reading a ton of reviews on laptops and watching several of your videos, I've found there is no perfect gaming laptop. There's always a "give and take" with each gaming model.

So I think in the end, find something that bothers you the most and you can scratch that model off the list.

The battery in the AMD lasts literally 50% longer? That's... kind of the end of the competition. It's a laptop. That extra 2 hours on the desktop, browsing etc, is everything.

The g15 with a 16:10 and vapor chamber would have been almost perfect. Really not a fan of the white. I really think the 6900HS is more versitile than intels chips, Igpu is great if you want to game on say 65 watts total in igpu mode.

Asus is doing great these days, the M16 is very tempting - though I would like to see a little bit higher quality materials to be used for my own personal taste.
