My right Lat was complete knotted and wouldn't relax for over 3 months.
Took pills, tried creams, stretches, yoga, acupuncture, cupping, chiropractor etc (I'm 38)

Nothing helped and I couldn't exert much force with the right Lat (my arm of rotate and start using the bicep /brachialis instead of the Lat)

3 days ago I finally found a stretch that worked (hurt like hell) almost my like there was popping at countless spots within the Lat. So I'm going that stretch multiple times a day. And hopefully next week I can finally go back to pushing the right side gate

Thanks bro.
There needs to be more videos like this showing certain exercising and the specific areas they hit. Even little tweeks in the gym that have excellent results can be useful

putting plates on the steps also helps with the stretch

I like pulling back and arching big chest then as I release I roll my back forward towards the machine for a super deep stretch. Best of both worlds imo and feels great.

Question: Wouldn't rowing higher w/ heavier weights also target more of the erector muscles trying to keep you more upright?

What if you tip back and row low to the hips, i feel more lower lat. Is this true that it targets diff like that!?

How ablut leaning forward with really wide grip pulling to scapula? I do this to hit my traps works wonders I do it 15 reps and do a mecanical drop set (spelled it wrong) I go back to neautral and help with lats to do a few more feps

Nah its more about whether you're retracting the scapula or not - and that too only for the mid and lower traps. You can see his rhomboids, teres minor etc being activated in both exercises

if you pull high on rows its just a sign you dont know what youre doing. so much easier to hit traps with a different movement. focus ur lats while u can

Good job! I would add that for cable row techniques you let the handle down, stand up, and walk over to the barbell rack and do rows or deadlift. That's the ideal cable row!
