Love having Maya on. She's the perfect person to bridge the divide and explain what's going on within her beat.

Love Maya! After years of watching Russian skating without quite knowing what they are saying etc and trying to piece it together through body language - so good to know some background and get insight into what they are saying in interviews etc.

I always thought Medvedeva would make a phenomenal skating commentator and coach! She’s an old soul, she was so mature as a child, to the point where she understood the reasons why the coaches demanded so much of her. During her training, I think she absorbed so much that she could easily train upcoming generations of figure skaters. Not every successful skater can go on to be a great coach, but she would be excellent at it. Moreover, she would be a great skating commentator. She has the voice for it, as well as the knowledge to become one of the best.

I loved Kostornaia as a singles skater and I think she has real potential as a pairs skater. Her husband has improved too. I hope she remains motivated to compete. To be honest Kostornaia was the only reason I watched any of Russian nationals. Another great show thank you. I enjoy Maya's insight. And I agree Liza would be the smart choice to send to international competitions if she can maintain her triple axel. Liza and Kosto would have stood a decent chance of a medal in this field of ladies.

I'm glad Maya has mentioned Ksenia Sinitsyna as one of the highlights of the Championship. But I wish both she and David dedicated a bit more time to this brilliant skater. She feels music as no one else does among Russian female skaters, her body movements and her freedom in how she moves are estonishing. I noticed this year she has this fire to put her best out there and appetite to compete, and I am eager to see this talented skater among top-3 in Russia.

Really liked that both of you were able to push each other a little on different topics and have to justify your opinions on this episode. It lends to a more nuanced conversation!

I miss Kolyada. I am not surprised he is not competing but he is the one of the few males who has it all.

I could listen to Maya all day. She’s very good at this and I appreciate her passion for cutting through the drama, humanizing the Russian skaters and bringing us back to the love of the sport. Also I appreciate her ability to steer and be direct. It’s something I’ve never been able to do myself growing up in the West 😉

I am enjoying this and I have not even watched any of the videos floating around in Reddit. Now I know which ones to look out for

So glad to see Maia back. However I was feeling very bad for Kromekh.coming in last. Tarasova's comments were unneeded about her physical appearance. I was so happy for Mishina & Galliamov's victory.

Dave is such a joy of a person. I don't know if this is true, but every time I listen to him I think of him as just this little happy boy running around with joy. Such a pure heart he has and I wish him all the best in life and so much success.❤
