Step-by-Step: How to Start Crocheting the Stunning, Beginner Friendly Alectrona Shawl!

Oh, happy day, sweet soul! Today, I have a gorgeous, sunrise inspired crochet shawl that I know you're going to love! The stunning, half-circle Alectrona shawl features a beautiful gradient fade, lovely marling, and delightful, lacy textures.

In this video, I demonstrate how to work the special stitches used in this shawl, as well as how to get started with the Magic Circle cast on.

Alectrona was made with our lusciously soft and draping, Limited Edition Blossom Fingering yarn. Blossom Fingering is a perfectly beautiful blend of 50% Bamboo, 30% Merino Wool, and 20% Lyocell with 402 yds/366 m per skein. The Lyocell gives this yarn a subtle glow, and various stitches will reflect the light differently. Blossom Fingering is a gorgeous yarn that's ideal for multi-seasonal use.

The sample shown here was made with colors: A) Golden Ray, B) Blooming Tree, C) Renascent, D) Pollination, and E) Bird Feeder Blossom Fingering. Our sample used approximately 1,760 yds/1609 m total. You'll need one skein of each color.
