A one level fusion needs 4 screws and 2 rods. This can be done open or minimally invasive!

Dr splintered a pedical screw out the side of my vertebra and messed up my fusion on my very first surgery...then released me early dispute my complaint of seriously bad pain.... found another Dr who had to rework everything and had to do even more. New Doc did fantastic work fixing the damage the first Quack did but the damage to the nerves on the vertebra that was damaged, Neuropathy, continues. Kept all the original hardware as a souvenir.😊

I have a surgery covered in February the L4 and L5 need to be fused because they’re moving a little and severe stenosis rate at that point which they clear up. I like the fact that doctors are posting videos about this. There are so many and very helpful and helping me understand my surgery

I had 2 rods and 8 screws in my spine, after a car accident in 2012.
So far, no problems, but discomfort (not excruciating) in my back actually lasted for a few years, but I actually put it down to stress, as I had just qualified & ready to set up my gas and plumbing business & was off work 7 months, but stressful long after.

Wouldn’t an allergy test be standard before drilling all that foreign metal inside the back??

Had spinal fusion and a laminectomy on 1/23/2025and the pain is no joke . Sometimes I feel like I am walking on egg shells. My hip hurts on the left side when I make certain movements

I was scheduled for a 4 level spinal fusion 2;3;4&5 due to spinal stenosis and 4 is push back and 5 forward. Dealing with it for 6-7 years. 15 epidurals, PT, mild injection, mild procedure, pain, meds, and anti-inflammatories so I’ve been through it all..I have finally had relief going on 7 weeks now after a year of bad sciatica down both legs. So I think God did this to stop me from having this surgery on March 14 th. It maybe isn’t the right time. Do you think I’m doing the right thing?

I have titanium bone anchors in my knee from when I tore my quad tendons.

Why don't they use titanium screws and rods? I thought titanium was the most biocompatible metal? Also light weight. My surgeon used cobalt-chrome equipment. I noticed the extra weight while in the pool. I sink even with full lungs of air. I have 14 vertebra fused

I had a C5-C6 fusion 5 weeks ago they put a plate in mine not rodes. Can't till next week to get this hard collar off.
