Day Of Detox/ Self Care + Detoxifying Habits (Spring 2019)

Hey everyone! Thanks for stopping by. This video was requested recently, so I thought I would share. As we know, our bodies essentially "detox" for us. Everyday our body goes to work to protect us and fight an array of pathogens. We can help aid our body in its functions when we reduce toxic foods and products, and move towards a holistic approach to living.. I am not the poster child for living a perfectly holistic lifestyle. I often reach for food and products that do not align with a holistic approach. I do however strive to educate myself, and make balanced decisions based on that knowledge. This video is an example of a day when I'm focused on feeding my body clean and nutrient rich plants, herbs, & spices etc. I'm focused on removing not only toxic food, but also toxic behaviors, thoughts etc. It's a day to come back to the basics, and then establish routine, habit, and practice. A "Day Of Detox" is not intended to be a "quick fix," but rather a re boot; a reminder of habits to develop more consistently. I hope you enjoy!

I simply juice pure celery juice in the mornings and replace it for coffee.
#Antioxidant Shake
After having some morning oats, I made a simple antioxidant rich shake which included strawberries, banana & kiwi + I added chia seeds.

#Self Care
Develop self care habits that can last a lifetime.. Practice them whenever you have time. Dry brushing and massaging are great for blood flow throughout the entire body and for healthier more firm skin.
Essential Oils-
Use essential oils for relaxation, detoxifying, and for pleasing the senses with "spa like" treatments.
#Herbal Teas
I'm currently taking the beginner herbal studies course by @TheHerbalAcademy #MyHerbalStudies. I'm learning so much already and can't wait to share more of what I learn with you!!
