Lately I've found myself compulsively checking the news online more times a day than I should, and it's definitely adding more stress. I think being aware of it is the first step. Thanks for the tips! And I agree about not needing to document everything. Some of the biggest moments of my life I took time to savor and imprint on my memory living in the moment rather than taking photos.

I had my phone stolen. That was a digital detox if I ever had one! While it was upsetting, it opened me up to other things to do especially tasks I'd been procrastinating with.

I found myself burning out really fast because of social media so I did a detox as well and it was so helpful

Amen to all of this. Even as an entrepreneur I still unplug, use DND, go on silent, and a dozen other little things to maintain healthy boundaries.

I started practicing many of your tips already because I had to, lol.
I take many breaks from social media, days, a weekend. I am usually off my phone in the evening by about 7pm and sometimes by 6pm. I actually had to unsubscribe from some channels because of the comparison games and the stress and anxiety it all caused me. I started wearing blue light glasses a year ago. One of the best changes ever.They work amazing. I dont check social media when I wake up and when I do, I listen to sermons, lol.
I am actually going to set a maximum time a day to be on social media. I am finding that I am much happier and content not watching it for long periods of time. I am suppose to be encouraged, motivated or inspired not anxious or stressed. I dont do Facebook because of the same reasons so I am not sure why I allowed all of this to get to me. Live and learn right. 😊😁😂

I love how so many of our tips overlapped but we had our own little twist on them. I also have to remind myself that you dont need to capture everything like you said. I often find myself thinking that "if I dont record myself leaving the house for a hike or to see friends people must think I'm just working from home all day long" haha. Also yes those raw cookie dough bites are life! xo

All so helpful! I've uninstalled any social media apps from my phone to remove the temptation to check them constantly!

Hi Meghan, great content 👏
I’m a stay at home mom and My phone is always always upstairs ( with no internet on) while I’m downstairs 90% of the time . I have an apple watch which keeps me updated with any important phone call or text message. I check my phone thrice a day and that’s about it.

I'm not one for New years resolutions typically but there was a setting in my phone to turn off the news feed and it's only been a couple days but I think it's helping my anxiety and stress. Hoping I learn and maintain some skills for slower living in 2024.
