QUESTION: (to Mr Lally) What if any, or maybe how much of any, time might you possibly take to maybe get to the question you might possibly be eventually asking??

Emily. You are an absolute Gem 💎 for not losing your mind completely when he asks questions!!

PS 🇦🇺being on replay crew means I miss almost all of the live, but it might be saving my brain this time!

Why are they so determined to call anyone OTHER than the ME to testify to his injuries‽‽‽

There is a dead person, who was invited to the party, found on the front lawn with a broken glass, in a blizzard with no coat on, his face is all beat up. Tully wants us to believe that this would not be enough for a search warrant.

As I sit here today I can firmly state that there is enough fuckery afoot to where I don't believe Karen needs to take the stand. In fact there is so much fuckery that if the trial ended with the prosecution resting I think it'd be enough to acquit. What. A. Mess.

All I have to say is I feel so bad for the jury today. My brain is mush....half asleep...can't imagine being a juror. Thanks EDB for your entertainment through the torture.

I guarantee if there was a dead cop in my front yard that had been hanging out with myself and friends AND invited to aN AFTER PARTY….I wouldn’t have just “been talked to”

Replay crew bc I can’t anymore, I need that 2x speed. I don’t understand how we got this far without proving anything in court!!

The fact that Karen called John over 50 times really makes it seem that she was truly concerned about where he was and not "faking" concern...i.m.o.

Lally needs to ramp up proving that Karen did it rather than trying to disprove the Defense. He's playing from behind.

Did I miss asking any of the investigators why they are takeing Karen's phone records as accurate but not looking at all the "but dials"???

My husband is alive but I'm pretty sure his DNA is all over my car. Something as simple as brushing snow off her tail light would do it.

If I had a dead body on my lawn, damn right the cops would be in my house in a split second.

I had two lawyers also when I had to do a civil suit against a drunk driver who nearly killed me on my motorcycle. How that ended up happening is that even my own insurance company wanted to blame me for the accident because, "Motorcycles are dangerous." Yet somehow they weren't dangerous enough for the company not to take people's money for insurance and then fail to honor any extras on the plan if you needed them. I had been paying $100 a month to them so they'd cover the medical expenses if I crashed. So here I was with a wrecked body and gigantic medical bills all coming down on me, plus I was starting probably the hardest term of my education only three days after the accident.

I was complaining about how fucked up it was and one of my mom's friends, who was a real estate lawyer at that time (she has since retired), got pissed off about it too and said she'd help me sue the drunk who caused the accident in the first place. Since she was obviously more familiar with civil law regarding real estate, she brought in a friend of hers who was more familiar with the kind of case I had.

Apparently both of them were some pretty high-powered lawyers in LA at the time so they got me the maximum amount from both my own insurance company and the drunk driver's insurance company without it even going to trial and they basically charged me only for the things that had cost them money in the case, like hiring someone to serve the other party and various filing fees. I got extremely lucky because, once I saw how the other lawyers in the case acted towards my lawyers, I realized that my lawyers must have won so many cases that other lawyers knew not to fuck with them. It seemed like they saw them and realized that unless I was a total moron, they'd have to settle the case, which they did immediately after my deposition like in five minutes.

I do often think about what would have happened to someone in my case with no money to fight in court and with no family friends who happened to be high-powered lawyers. What probably happens to millions of people is that they get stuck with all those medical bills, broken bodies, and no vehicle, which is a far cry from justice. Stuff like that makes me think of becoming a lawyer and the only reason I haven't done so already is that I got my medical and biological education but basically got shut out because I'm autistic and weird so I figure it doesn't matter what I study since no one cares about how smart you are if you don't fit in.

When Tully said that they didn't put any weight on the plow driver story because there were inconsistencies, I almost fell out of my chair!
SIR!!! You know that EVERY witness you guys interviewed has changed their story right???

Emily’s reaction is the best! I often laugh because I’m yelling at the same time! Usually I watch along with you but the Law Nerd app is great for notifications. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

To me, it’s more than abundantly clear that all of these players involved didn’t actually care about John. So that begs the question that if they didn’t care about John, why on earth would they have been looking out the doors and windows so so many times for his arrival?? I don’t think they were looking for his arrival at all! I think something happened upon John first entering the home (perhaps Colin??) and the subsequent window and door peeps that followed were coming up from their fear that Karen herself was going to come inside and stumble upon whatever had just happened. To me, that clearly makes a lot more sense than they were all looking for John several times, but then didn’t care after the SUV mysteriously just disappeared with no arrival of anyone.

I don’t get why she calling him many times, freaking out he didn’t come home, and being hysterical when she finds him is seen as evidence against her. If she didn’t call him at all or had a calm demeanor when they found him, they would definitely use that against her too. But at least that would have made sense. It’s not strange to me that she questioned if she could have hit him. She was panicking and trying to make sense of what could have happened to him. And remembered she hadn’t seen him go inside. Makes a lot more sense then remodeling the basement, getting rid of your house and dog. And blaming every call on a but dial.

If I was called to testify to my medical chart and said, "aw darn, I guess I just wrote it down wrong, " you know what wouldn't happen? I wouldn't be believed. I'm appalled to the deepest level at the lack of good documentation in this case.
