Been a subscriber since day 1, and I've learned more useful stuff through your free content than I have in full paid 8h courses.
Thanks for your generosity and for your no BS approach, this is priceless! 🤝

Oh cool. I was wondering how you did the lighting on that reactor scene. It looked like it was going through a prism or something.

Great tutorial! Just some remarks, but not negative just informational:
The light settings and the Emission shader node are not "fighting" with each other, the Emission shader basically works as a multiplier for the light settings, so the light properties Color gets multiplied by the Emission Color and the Power gets multiplied by the Emission Strength.
And when you parent the plane to the spot, you don't need the "Keep Transform", this is just necessary if you re-parent from some other parent to the spot and do not want to lose any transforms from the previous parent.

Nice one max but for me plugging the normal crom texture cordinate to the mapping node worked 😊

Amazing video, thank you so much! Do you have, or could you make, one using different types of volume? On YouTube, most videos focus on principal volume, but I’ve noticed that some people use other nodes and configurations to create more realistic atmospheres or mix different types of volumes to achieve more detailed environments and a better sense of depth.

I'm new to blender and your videos are helping so much, I have a question hopefully someone can answer. How do you get that live render veiwport so you can see your changes in real time? I can't seem to figure out where to find that feature and it seems very helpful!
