In today’s lesson, I wrote a paragraph on the board packed with common punctuation errors, from missing commas and semicolons to misused quotation marks. My students were excited to dive in and correct the mistakes, working on everything from commas before conjunctions to punctuating quotes. We even tackled appositives and made sure to get those semicolons in the right place. These exercises are so helpful in empowering students to spot and fix their own writing errors, turning messy sentences into polished prose!

I love your lessons! Thanks for sharing them.

One correction:
"I can't believe all the toys were blown away by the wind (comma, not period), " she said.

She said - This quotation phrase is not a complete sentence without the quote (the object of what she said).

Your students are FANTASTIC and I love how excited you have them regarding learning. You're crafting lifelong students of life here! 🎉

0:29 - my mind has been blown! I did not know that it goes there.

Also, I have trouble with how and where '...' the single quotations.
