Employ a overnight security guard. Problem solved.

Taking money out past 9pm is usually never for a good reason anyway. They're doing us a favor.

The Bank of America (ATMs only) on 55th and 6th is only opened 9-5 with a security guard. Both Wells Fargo and Capital One on 56th and Broadway have overnight security guards.

My friend works with homeless here in NYC. He states 99% have an untreated mental condition which they self medicate with illegal drugs. The most inhumane thing to do is leave them to the streets

People are such obedient tools. The homeless using the ATMs as shelters has been going on for years and the homeless are allowed to camp out everywhere with impunity and government protections. It seems to me that the public is being conditioned to accept less access to ATMs as the economy continues to tank and at some point, they will be forced to deny you access to your money to avoid a bank run when the stock market crashes some day in the near future. Expect them to use the homeless as an excuse to close the ATMs even for longer hours or shut it down altogether "for the safety of the public"....something that has been ignored for years. Just remember..it's for your safety because the banks suddenly care about your well being.

I only use the ATM during the day when I see a security guard inside. It is just safer that way.

Immigrants get to stay in hotels and homeless New Yokers can't even get a break

The bank definitely makes enough money to be able to provide an electronic lock that works off of your bank card if they can't do that then they're just inviting their customers to be robbed.

In this day and age I would never ever in 1 million years use an ATM machine the best places to be robbed and shot to death

Homelessness is a menacing problem. A social vice. Government should take it seriously.

This has been a big problem at Chase for years now. I'm not with that bank anymore. But I remember many nights going to get some cash or deposit some money. And as soon as you get inside the place just smells horrible because someone had made it their shelter. That's why so many Chase banks in the city have security at night these days.

Allow ill people to have easier access to Social Security Disability and homelessness would drop massively, there is a massive racket going on

Happened up here in Ottawa, Canada out in the suburbs.
I went in and smelled feet, looked over and there is a man lying down with no shoes rolled up in the rug that soaks up water.
Start taking out money, look in the tiny mirror, next thing I know I'm in a fight.

I’m so glad this is going on especially in my neighborhood, but it’s such a bummer that I can’t get money when I’m on my way to work
