She definitely has a future in politics.

She clearly needs to be in the political field. She did all of that at 19 while attending college and running track. This is more amazing than disappointing.

How does a store that sells nothing over $50 bucks able to refund such large amounts without anyone noticing after the first time?! I’m genuinely confused with how she made this scam happen

This is infuriating. I can hardly control my anger. NO ONE should pay more than $15K for a Maui resort room.

Did she think nobody would notice half a million? Incredible.

I’m so upset at her.. she coulda secretly stacked that bread up, moved it to an offshore account, then after 2-3 years of laying low, disappear.. I swear, attention is a drug that will get you in trouble every time.

What is surprising is how easy it was for her to steal so much money is such little time. If she wasn’t so greedy she might’ve gotten away with it.

How does a small jewelry store in a mall not notice $540, 00 being deposited somewhere over the course of a few months

For a store with most of its items priced at under $50.00, the manager should have caught these fraudulent returns early on. Eight refunds in a single month totaling over 500k should have raised a red flag by whoever was looking at the sales reports and doing the deposits at the store. My guess is, more people were in on this elaborate scam.

This is pretty common. My teenage son talks about kids coming to school in $1000 shoes, and driving very expensive cars. These are not rich kids. He calls them “scammers”.

This is sad, none of those things are worth it. The opportunity to flex for social media will have people doing the dumbest things.

How detached from reality do you have to be to think you can steal 6 figures worth of money and no one will notice?

8 transactions for 540k= $67, 500 per transaction. So that means the credit card companies of the customers were approving transactions for 67k at a costume jewelry store? And the people shopping at these stores have credit limits above 67k? Not to mention her own bank or cc not flagging deposits of 67k? This does not add up. I get a fraud alert buying a damn tank of gas.
