I am not the one. As a nurse I will defend my patients and my coworkers. I will address bullying even if it has nothing to do with me. Surely that can be problematic, but I simply do not give a shit. This toxic culture needs change.

I read a news story once where a nurse committed suicide because she was bullied by other nurses at her job. There should be a zero-tolerance policy for workplace bullying. Period.

Just like there are laws that hold employers accountable for not addressing other forms of harassment (e.g., sexual, racial discrimination), there should be a zero-tolerance policy for workplace bullying. Those engaging in this kind of behavior love an atmosphere filled with tension, discord, gossip and every other negative characteristic. They create a toxic environment everywhere they go and should be terminated immediately when found to be bullying others.
