My mom used to journal and I have all of her old ones when she passed. Something I truly treasure! She would keep one to write her everyday thoughts in and another to attach pictures of loved ones in and would write important facts about them. I haven't written in a journal in YEARS! I definitely plan to start again! Great channel!

I have journaled a very, very long time. I use standard, spiral, 200 page notebooks. Nope, they aren't fancy. But it's what I've used & it works well for me. I have 45 of them so far. Journaling is highly personal & individual. There are no Journal Police. You won't be judged or graded.
I highly recommend writing by hand. Our emotions show thru our handwriting & our handwriting changes as we age. It's interesting to observe both. I don't put anything in mine. I just write. I don't embellish them in any way, don't tuck in any mementos. I chronicle my life. Funny things our dog or cats do, funny things that happen to us, things that annoy me, mundane & huge what comes to my mind....I write it down.
I always put the day of the week, date, & time. I don't limit myself to 1 page a day. I write until I've written all I have to write whether that's a couple lines or 10 matter.
I have always used blue ink. I prefer blue. I love the color blue ! I use a Paper Mate Ink Joy ballpoint.I've never liked the feel of a gel pen....that's the choice of my husband, tho.
I think maybe I should branch out & add more colors, tho. Just recently I bought Paper Mate Ink Joy pens in 10 colors. I'm such a sucker for stationary supplies in general !

Tip from a journaling person and someone who does art all the time. If you use colored pen in your journal, it will fade or smudge in your journal over time. What I’ve found that works to preserve it is matte mod Podge, it’ll preserve your art. I’ve made art five years ago and the mod podge has preserved it all this time. Thanks to Moriah Elizabeth, where I’ve gotten the idea from.

I LOVE thin Yes I know the struggle but I can write school stuff on that kind of pages with pencil. I love thin cause its so satisfying when it bends and the sound. Love it!! 😂😂❤️❤️

I actually like when my spiral notebook expands. My current journal is a spiral notebook and I love it. I like it because when they expand, I feel that inside there is more memories and importance to it

I usually get journals from Dollarama even though they can break easily, I like them because they have nice designs and I use a ball point black pen. And sometimes colourful ball point pens for emotions and you gave me an idea to tape pics I'm them.

Yeah, when I tape things in my journal, it does feel like the pages are growing or becoming very thick...I get what you're saying Carrie....I personally prefer bound journals rather than your videos are AMAZING and I LOVE JOURNALING !!

i started journaling about 3 weeks ago, and i only use a pocketsize notebook, so i dont feel stress to write every pages and only black pen.
