the question itself is wrong, one must ask "which i should use for what?"
one must have both softwares, here are few examples
Pr-
vlogs, cooking videos, ads, music video, educational.
Ae-
Vlogs *with rotoscoping*, cooking videos *with typography titles and names*, ads (with icons, visual data), music videos *(watch SIA song GENIUS) or to even add lyrics in cool style*, educational *(explainer videos)* .
if you ever heard any post production person saying stuff they will always mention things like, files send for *compositing(Ae) and editing(Pr)* not necessary that you have to do compositing first, some work needs editing first and later compositing.
side note: Pr is better for color grading

hella helpful video but i still want to make sure i understand before i spend the money. if im wanting to do gaming edits, i should make the rough draft with all my clips synced to music and put together how i want on premiere, then when i go to do my effects, transitions, etc, i should dynamic link it to after effects. which should save on my premiere sequence? thanks again.

You can use both... Complete each other but ae more than premiere

after effects is good for 1 min 3 min or 10min montages or videos with high effects pr is for ike 4hour long videos etc
