I have a 2021 macbook pro M1 Pro. Do I need the wavelink adapter or can I use a usb-c to HDMI dongle for my second monitor? I have my first monitor on the mac's default hdmi port. And I can use the dongle on the other usb-c ports?

What are the limitations to the type of displays that are connected to an M1 Pro MacBook Pro? For example, could I have a 5k display and say the LG dual up display?

Hey Ryan! I have a 2020 macbook pro with an M1 chip. I have a hub, and when I bought a HDMI to USB-C it didn't work. My laptop only has two USB-C ports that the hub plugs into. One of my monitors plugs into the hub via HDMI and works. The Hub has 2 USBs and one extra USB-C (my charger goes into the other one). Any ideas to get the second display to work?

@ryanphan, can I use 2 USB-C to HDMI connectors to plug two monitors into mac’s two TB4 ports independently or into a single docking hub coming out of one of the mac’s TB4 port.

Also can you confirm if daisy chaining or MST does work on MBP 2023 base variant? and please clarify if it works only on usb-C or DP port daisy chaining too. (Lots of videos out there are spreading outdated information, you were right on spot! Kudos!)

Looking forward to your answer!

I tried it but, both monitors perform same functionality in sync .
