Hey so your probably here running into the same problem as me haven't found the answer, well F*** the gatekpeers If your connected to a gaming laptop to a monitor the simple solution would be to buy a belkin USB C HUB it will now connect to your dedicated graphics instead of your integrated.

Hello, I recently bought a 165hz monitor to connect to my acer nitro 5, but since the monitor comes only with a display port I am unable to connect it to my laptop that has an hdmi 2.0 port. Should I use a hdmi 2.0 cable or 1.4 cable and could you link the cable that supports 144hz or 165hz for the monitor. Btw the monitor supports only 1.4 hdmi cables.

Also can you use a display port cable to hdmi cable?
