I have almost 1, 200 hours in The Witcher 3. That game got me through a difficult time in my life, it'll always have a special place in my heart.

Very surprised RDR2 isn’t on the list. That game is a masterpiece filled with what seems like endless details

I played Kingdom Come Deliverance for around 400 hrs and I cherish every moment of that.. most immersive rpg ever.. I have finished the main story along with all dlcs and side quests twice and maxed out all skills and stats... obviously you can see that I got totally obsessed with this game because of how natural, real and immersive it was and still play it to this day.. it still drops my jaw to see all the cool little details I still find to this day in all the different quests in this game... I actually feel like a real medieval knight living in the 1400s... its amazing, surreal and unreal... realism and historical accuracy is totally off the charts for this one...

Cannot praise Kingdom Come enough, even while it has it's technical issues at times. It does a tremendous job immersing you in the world with it's mechanics and story while providing a enjoyable challenge curve that is very rewarding.

The Fallout series. I have just replayed F4, New Vegas and F3 in that order and all three are amazingly immersive.

I'm happy that Kingdom Come Deliverance is in the list. I played it a few months ago and clocked 135 hours to almost do everything.

Great list!
Prophesy of Pendor was one of my favourites (a mod for Mount & Blade).
Probably put over a thousand hours into this! 😁

Funny thing about KCD, I once stopped going to uni for a week and missed my finals playing this game. Good times.

Kingdom Come is one of my favorite games, ever. I love how realistic it is, with no magic, dragons or mythical creatures. I think it's highly underrated and I hope they're making a second one, soon!

For me a game that surprisingly kept me playing for so long was Middle-earth: Shadow of War. Recruiting orc captains, hunting down nemesis or pit fighting are so fun and addicting

I went well over 100 hours in my first Elden ring run, also happened to be my first ever souls game. I tried to go to every part of the map that I could find

Oh my beloved Kingdom come Deliverance.. I still open it from time to time, simply to go for a stroll in the forest, looking for cute houses I'd picture myself living haha. Reading books by a campfire is also lovely to do. Obviously I like a lot of this in real life as well. But doing it in medieval times.. fantastic!

Kingdom come is easily the most immersive game I’ve played, not to mention the real history behind the story and world. Such an underrated game.

Ghost of Tsushima is one of the only games I've had the motivation to 100% complete since I was a kid. I really liked the unique wind mechanic

Thanks for the great run down of games Gameranx. I can't wait for the upcoming Dragon's Dogma II coming out in late March, Enshrouded and Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria are both excellent single player/co-op games that just came out recently.

Never see wasteland 3 get too much love, amazing game all around imo, especially if you're a fan of the older style turn based combat or the original fallouts
