RDR2 made me ignore everything else and just explore the world. The details in that game is astounding!

The fact that to this day people are still finding new things in The Witcher 3, Dragon Age Inquisition, and even SKYRIM goes to show how detailed these games are.

I was a little surprised to not see RDR2 in that list. As far as getting lost in a world where there are interesting stories, characters, and endless detail, that game is it. Even on my 3rd playthrough, I was still finding new things/areas I'd never noticed before.

Glad to see Kingdom Come getting some love, this game is really special. You really can't do almost anything at the start, but it's so satisfying to watch Henry getting better and better as you progress ❤

How is RDR2 not on here? So much interesting side content that you can miss after several playthroughs because there’s simply so much to see and do

Witcher 3 is an absolute masterpiece when it comes to atmosphere, soundtrack, characters, writing, choices, lore and so much more.

I miss Skyrim. I know I can replay it, but nothing beats that first 1200-hour run! 😊

Loved that you put Kingdoms of Amalur in there, you play Skyrim with all the muted color tones and then pop in Reckoning, and its like so many COLORS! Dragon Age Inquisition, love it on so many levels--storyline, characters, environment and voice acting-all masterfully done. Finding Skyhold for the first time literally took my breath away - wandering around in Skyrim is like being on vacation...with highwaymen and dragons. Subnautica is exciting and calming at the same time, how can that be? Love these games so much, they helped me through some really tough times. Thank you, developers and thank you gameranx for posting!

Just recently started playing The Witcher 3 on my Xbox Series S, and I must say just WOW! I haven't been this immersed in a game for a long time. And visually it isjust stunning for such an old game!

I have thousands of hours in Skyrim and New Vegas and every once in a while I'll still find something I've never come across before. Some cave or quest I never noticed. What an experience those games are.

First game like this was Oblivion to me, still remember how insane it was on X360 when I was a kid.

Glad to see Dragon's Dogma getting more love. It's also the only game I've ever played where your characters body type effects the game - if you are too tall, you can't fit into certain areas, too short, you can't get to certain cliffs. The bigger you are, the more you carry and the smaller you are, the more fast you are.

Kingdom Come Deliverance is one of the most underrated games of all time. Absolute gem.

My favorite genre, definitely. Sometimes I get a little sick of Skyrim so I have to start another game but then I get back to Skyrim because the love for it never ends. ☺

The Bloody Baron story arc from Witcher 3 was one of the most compelling stories in gaming. Right up there with the RDR2 storyline.

I finally got around to playing the Witcher 3 this year for the first time and I was still blown away! Instantly made my top 10

Dragon's Dogma doesn't get the attention it deserves. It was one of the most memorable games I've played. The combat is so good and entertaining. Playing as a mage archer was a lot of fun.

Great video, btw. You guys are top notch.

Dragons Dogma was truly game ahead of its time. One of my absolute favorites. For current gen games Elden Ring completely absorbed me trying to explore every location. 200 hours so far.

I think a big contributor to this ability to get lost in the world is how the side quests are presented. That’s why from this list The Witcher III takes the cake for me.
