Personally, I would have docked 1 more point from the UI for the reason that ammo count is not shown by default. Thanks game, but I do NOT need to know my melee attacks have infinite ammo.

One thing I'd add is that you actually fought 4 bosses. You pick 3 of the reapers, then the game pick 1 of the 2 remaining to fight before the final mission. So that boss that you had to kill by destroying body parts to bring down the max hp was the purple Reaper. It actually worked out really well for your campaign, because the red Reaper that you didn't fight, is mechanically just a weaker version of Malachian (blue Reaper), so you've basically seen them all.

Hi Syken, totally agree with your review. This game was a really good surprise and i enjoyed my (long) time with it.

The campaign is long, true, but also full of neat gaming mechanics and points where you have to make choices. I guess a good point is that it offers a strategical layer on top of the tactical one, and this adds depht to the game.
Curious to see their next game if they stay in the genre.
Wish you the best !

Nice review. May I suggest Mechanicus too ? That way you can give 11/10 for the sound and music, it's that good.

Great review. I seldom notice sound design but it's so damn good here - the Knights and weapons sound and feel massive and brutal, the voice acting is cheesy in the best way (special shoutout to whoever did the Chaos Cultist voice, who is having a whale of a time). It leaves XCOM (which is good!) in the dust in this respect.

Really agree with your comments about the poor balance. A fully optimized excecution squad is totally busted; and Interceptors (and Librarians, to a lesser extent) as an individual class are so damn strong its not funny. I deliberately under-optimize because otherwise many missions become trivial, but I know that can be pretty unsatisfying.

I disagree with you a little on the replayablilty; normal people (no offense) don't go in immediately for Legendary Grandmaster, which leaves sigificant room for a couple of replays, at least. The DLCs are both very good, and add further to the replayability, though certainly is doesn't have the same degree of modability as XCOM, for instance.
