The Kumite will serve as a platform to try new and experimental combat inside the Karate Combat Pit. Imagine if Cobra Kai + Bloodsport + Karate Combat had a baby... it would be KUMITE!
Hosted by KC correspondent Alex Wendling, the series features a new amateur tournament format martial arts competition. Karatekas face off in The Pit with play-by-play commentator Ben "The Bane" Davis and color commentator / Karate Combat middleweight champion & former Glory Kickboxing fighter Ross Levine calling all the action. Our jury panel consisting of League President Adam Kovacs, KC Chairman & UFC Hall of Famer Bas Rutten and KC lightweight fighter & social media superstar Samuel Ericsson will judge the fighters' performance to decide which fighters move on and who will receive the coveted professional fighter contract with Karate Combat.
Fighters from India, Latvian training partners of Edgars Skrivers, American Top Team fighters, you name 'em - all the best up and coming fighters competing for a spot on the KC roster!
