Magnesium works the best to relieve my leg cramps.

I had a cramp when I was 16 that lasted 2 years in my neck muscle. It locked up that for that long, I then got an idea...I deliberately tore the muscle by wrenching that side neck muscle by over flexing it and yanking my head sharply to one side. It sprained the muscle bad, but tore the few fibers of muscle causing the cramp and enabled my muscle to relax finally and the healing repaired and replaced the now relaxed torn muscle fibres

If this happened to a person swimming in deep water, you're done.

I know that hurts like hell. I get them behind my knees sometimes and I swear, I cry like a baby! A cool cloth helps but Jeebus!!! I've been taking potassium and magnesium with my multivitamin but it hasn't stopped completely.

Pickle juice or a couple of spoons of mustard are great for quick relief of leg cramps. I buy big jars of pickles to keep in the fridge just for the juice. If you travel, get extra packets of mustard and save them up for the same purpose. Portable and cheap.

For calf camps place your thumb behind the notch on your upper lip. Next place index finger on outside of notch and press firmly. Relief in about 10 seconds. You are welcome!

This poor man! I CAN NOT imagine this, the ones I have at night are all I can handle but I squeeze my foot or calf as hard as I can . It helps a lot

Morton Lite Salt is your cheapest option. Hundreds of doses in a little cardboard tube of Magnesium, Potassium (two kinds, chloride & iodide), and Calcium. I just pour a little pile on my palm, lick it up and drink some water. Never have cramps anymore. Expensive booshie route? smart water or gatorade.
