About Dr. Rubaiya Mallay

Dr. Rubaiya Mallay is currently a practicing rheumatologist in Largo, Florida where she serves as the Director of MPP infusions. She received her medical degree at Edward Via Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM) and graduated in 2007. She completed her residency and fellowship at Largo Medical Center. After graduating she remained part of the clinical faculty at Largo medical center.

Dr. Mallay believes that being a good doctor goes hand in hand with being a good educator, and continues to provide patients and medical residents with information that is in their best interest and champions the practice of preventive medicine. She has lectured on the topic of good health practices and autoimmune disease states at numerous meetings and co-authored multiple papers, including chapters on RA and Sjogren’s. Dr. Mallay has also received certification for the use of Ultrasound and X-rays for early diagnosis of arthritis and continues to use the ultrasound for guided joint injections and Carpal tunnel procedures. Dr. Mallay also has research experience, focusing on chronic inflammatory diseases, and novel treatment options.

Huh. Did you say wightloss. My wrist started swelling like 5 days ago. It hurts so bad. I had had this happen before now that i think about it and i did lose 130 lbs put of nowhere. Maybe i get it looked at. I tried to get it looked at when it happened when i was pregnant but they said it was probably just an odd pregnancy synptom and they didnt look into it. I dont simply experience pain. My pain is horribly bad!! To the point where i beaten my head against a brick wall and a cement floor just to take focus off my feet... Always in my feet and it jumps from one foot to the other... Its so bad at times suicide seems like the only way to find relief.. i have had this pain off and on for 34 years without dr's ever talking to me about or even mentioning my autoimmune system

By self diagnosing from mostly process of elimination i have narrowed it down to my immune system and dont know what to do next
