A suggestion: replace the last half hitch with a buntline hitch with a slipped bight. It will hold the coil tighter and just need to pull the working end to undo.

Когда я был маленький, мой дедушка на моих глазах запрягал коня в телегу и распрягал. Оглобли, подпруга, хомут, везде применялись разные узлы. Очень жаль, что тогда я не сильно обращал внимание на это, да и был ещё маловат по возрасту. А сейчас почему то есть желание все это познать. Вот этот узел, кажется, применялся в упряжи. Спасибо!
