At last! A great ENGLISH video that gets straight to it, without spending 20 minutes banging on about subscribing to a load of other crap. Well done sir!

Actually, the best of the dozen vids I watched in order to make a bench. Simple, clear, concise….. EDIT: There are so many good videos out there that assume a level of skill and experience I and others do not have. This one could be called “woodworking for dummies, ” and those of us so new to it should assume we know nothing. In Japanese, they call that mind set Junanshin — じゅなんしん — “the beginners mind” and this vid is suitable for us folk.

I’ve just built my own workbench using this video and the associated plans and I’m delighted with the result, so thank you. The only thing I’d want to make others aware of who might follow this video/plan is that you don’t need to pre-drill pocket holes in the bottom end pieces (I over-pocket-holed 😂)

I want to say 'thank you' for making the plans for this great workbench available to everyone for free. I think you are a good man. You don't get much for free these days! I have now made two of these benches and am about to make a third. Cheap and simple to build and only requiring basic tools. Perfect for my requirements. I made your router table a year ago. Thanks for that too. :-)

Thank you so much for this video, nice straight forward and clear instructions.
I've not done any woodwork since school (I'm nearly 49) but am confident I'll be able to build this. Thanks again, man.

I love the idea to use the adjustable feet. My garage isn’t very level as well. The feet take care of that perfectly. Well done!

A great workbench for us hobbyist. Roubos are very pretty and all that but they are overkill and can be prohibitively expensive once you get the Moxon and leg vice etc. for someone at my level. My one little difference would be drill some holes for dogs and small vice that also has dog holes to hold your work in place. It’s too thin to use a holdfast properly but you can get cheap plastic ones you can screw in. I use mine all the time for planing, chiselling and gluing as somethings are dimensionally too big for the voice itself.

Great video that will save a lot of people a lot of money.

I have just put up a new shed and need a workbench. I've been looking at bench builds on YouTube and picked yours as the one to attempt. Checking the prices at B&Q etc it seems it will cost around £100, which compared to the rubbish on ebay is a fair price. Thanks for the video and the plans you Sir are a star.

Thanks mate, I have very few tools and only just acquired a shed! Your tutorial gives me the confidence to have a go. Good, concise commentary.
