FYI, if you plan on using linseed oil, make sure it's the Raw kind and not the Boiled one. Everything I've read so far suggests that boiled linseed oil has metallic dryers added to it (Most often cobalt and manganese salts) which might not be the healthiest option.

The wife wants raised beds, she wants to buy them soon. I said that I’ll build them for you. This video is just what I needed. It’s late spring here in Michigan, then I noticed your shirt. Hello fellow Michiganian!

I’d never thought of that with pressure treated and buying untreated and using the oil
Glad I found this

Good video and looked like you had an enthusiastic little helper there! Occurred to me that you could increase your square footage from 12 sq' to 32 sq' with only a 50% increase in lumber. Three 2x10s per box instead of 2 per box. Cut 1 into two 4' pieces and make a 4'x8' box. 2 foot to center isn't really too far to reach for most people. Very good video!

I cannot thank you enough for this video. It’s 2 years after you made this video but I just started getting interested in growing some of my own veggies. All the raised beds I’ve been looking at are so expensive or complicated to make. I wasn’t looking for anything fancy either. Then, I came across your video. I’ve never sawed anything before but I think I can do this project as you laid out the instructions so well. I’m going to try making this tomorrow. Thank you so much! Subscribed and liked for the algorithm ❤❤❤

This has nothing to do with the video, but I visited Michigan for the first time this past August. I was there for a week, and visited several places while I was there. Michigan is soooo beautiful. I have fallen in love with Michigan. My top 3 favorites being Kalamazoo, South Haven, and St. Ignace, with St. Ignace topping the chart at #1. I have fallen in love with Michigan. I didn’t want to leave.

Quick tip let your boards hang when you cut to keep from binding and kick back. Stay safe! Great video! 👍🏻

Getting started this week in MI after all the rain. I got lucky and found boards at a local construction site. I was about to buy corner bricks until I saw this, which will save me money for plants. TY

Very nice video for first timers. It's in budget and by seeing this video, I rushed to Home depot and brought all necessary lumbers, screws and linseed oil. I hadn't gone through details of this video and missed to get 3 inch screws instead bought smaller one. Thanks!

I would treat those boards and battens first with RAW linseed oil and then put them together then the joints are sealed better.greetings from sunny south africa
