Also, the brown pair is the President, not the Captain. The captain has the cap toe.

I just recently splurged an the #77 Black Wingtip boots. WOW! I needed a classy yet comfortable boot due to the work I do. I wear several hats, a police Chaplain and security at a 5 star 5 diamond luxury hotel here in Vancouver. These boots fill the bill. They look awesome, and are super comfortable. Nothing else compares!!

IMO they are absolutely worth $200.00. I have 2 pairs of Iron Rangers and didn't know what to expect when I got my Captains. Very pleasantly surprised. Leather is quality, comfortable from the first day wearing them. I'm very happy with Thursday Boots.

Love their boots. Just purchased my 3rd pair of Captains in Arizona Adobe. First 2 pairs were in Brown and Natural, purchased around 2018.

Yes they are. I own 5 different pair. Mostly captains, one president, and one Duke. Love them all.

Pretty sure the browns ones are the Presidents. They don’t have that “toe cap” stitching. Both killer tho

I think it's worth mentioning that the black pair has rugged and resilient leather, which is a leather packed with oils that requires less maintenance. Otherwise, great video.
I have a similar collection to yours. I have the black matte like yours that has the rugged look I love. I also have the black version but with the nice finished leather that I wear to interviews and such. I think just such a small collection is great because it allows for so much variety in your style.

I just got my first pair of Captains, I LOVE them. I wear them to work (sticking shelves at a grocery store) and the first night a hardly had any of those first wear aches.

I've had the Tobacco rugged leather. They destroyed my ankle the first year. After 1.5 years they are more comfortable than any tennis shoe I have. Definitely worth the break in

Are the Thursday boots worth it? Absolutely. I recently bought a pair of Tobacco Presidents a full size down in a Wide version and they fit perfectly. Sneaker size 13. Thursday boot size size 12 Wide.

I have a question. How was the sizing for this particular boot?
I just couldn't find the right fit for thier Jodphur boot. I'm usually a size 10 in everything but my heel kept moving around. I have sized down and the heel was fine but my toes were crushed. I'm technically a size E in width but I always wear a D.
Is this boot true to size?

My issue with Thursday is that their last isn’t very anatomical. Flip the boot over and look at the bottom - look at the plan shape.
It’s more symmetrical than, for example, a good Italian boot. A good anatomical last will be more wasp waisted and more asymmetrical. It should look more like your footprint in the sand.
Wear the Thursday boot then try on a good pair of boots - like the (overpriced) Alden. A good last will replicate your foot shape in a semi- unweighted relaxed form. The Thursday boot forces your foot into the shape of the boot.
