I just want to underline, that this is if ANY of these cards would be in stock, obviously at the time of publishing this video that's not the case 😢😭

I think you are missing some important information. Premier Pro rendering speed is very dependent upon the CPU, whereas Resolve relies more heavily on the GPU. The test results you showed can easily be explained by having a top-end CPU. Since you never shared with us the CPU that was used for the benchmarks, I can't trust that the results you got are really indicative of GPU performance. You also failed to state whether you are using the free or Studio version of Resolve. Only the Studio version makes full use of the GPU for rendering.

There is like 10% difference between the better and worse cards, which is really negligible. 60 minute render time vs 54 minute render time...doesn't make any practical difference.

new AMD drivers boosted up performance about %25 in resolve, there difference in 6900xt and rtx3090 is same overall. you can check new puget bench, beside, they are using radeon drivers. AMD recommending Pro edition drivers which boost even more for content creators.

Was expecting an in-depth analysis (speed, image quality, video quality, timeline dragging, experience, etc)... instead ended up with someone who based things off "MSRP" (which doesn't mean anything) and reading Puget benchmarks - not even his own. WTF!

Obviously, this guy clearly has only used Nvidia his entire career (didn't even mention CUDA and why it works better for these programs). Wasted 5 minutes of my life... if you're going to be giving an opinion on these cards, you should've tested these before actually throwing an opinion piece. I have both Nvidia and AMD GPUs (3080/70/60 and the 6800XT/6800/6700XT) - used these for editing as well. I know Nvidia is inherently better (see CUDA reasoning) but I could give a better technical perspective than this guy on my AMD editing experience as well.

🤷‍♀️

Well It's not that far behind as people make it to be. I always assumed that the radeon cards sucks for productivity and streaming. I recently saw a streaming comparison and its the same case there as well. Its almost unnoticeable. So don't make it to be the buying decision if you get a better deal on radeon.

That's only for the time being, as both of these programs historically are heavily optimized for Nvidia, It would be safe to say based on current AMD success that this will change.

today, i should prefer a 4070 12gb or a 7800xt 16gb OC for da vinci resolve?

Rx 6600 good for premier pro?, Any good gpu in this budget range?

I would like to see you use a ryzen 5900xt cpu in video editing with some filters and floating text on top of a 4k 60fps clip

It would be interesting today to compare both companies, since amd introduced a new driver for professional cards in game cards. August 2023.

Could a ryzen 7 3700x computer work fine with an Nvidia video card? Let's say 3060ti or 3070ti?

And yet, when using Davinci Resolve in Linux all performance gains are completely obliterated by the out of sync with the rest of the FOSS community closed source Nvidia blobs. A system update to Linux has caused production outages for Nvidia users while Nivida scrambles to update their drivers to remain in sync. For that reason, even though AMD is barely matching last gen Nvidia, if you require Linux it's still best to stick with AMD

Sorry if this is a dumb question. I’m still trying to learn all these things. My question is the PugetBench for Davinci Resolve is for Davinci Resolve 16 or 17?

Just curious… the stats do they mean which card is faster, smoother and quality producing at processing video content on davinci or premier pro? Coz I’m not bothered about how long it takes to render or encode (forgive me I’m still learning). I’m more concerned about user experience in terms finished product, ease of use, ability to play high taxing games and content creation at entry-mi level experience. Thanks

Wow, this is really good production quality. Nice, and helpful. Thank you.

Price to price. what I am considering is RTX 3050 or an RX 6600: Due to they are about the same price. I have mostly had Nvidia cards but AMD cards seem to work about as well with the programs I use, truthfully. However it seems this AMD RX is better on games but I am not a gamer. I was happy with my 4g gtx 1650 . So it may not be that big a deal. I am not a professional. I just want to know how the new features work with editing and animation programs.
